i would buy one... put a AP2 front bumper, remove teh APC wing,swap out the seats for buckets, remove the Batman cover ****, and of course cage, wheels, suspension etc..

Well then why wouldn't you just buy an AP2? $5k cheaper at MSRP? I'm sure they'll sell for more than MSRP, though. Wouldn't it just be smarter to save the $5K, and buy a hardtop and cage and wheels? I know the CR has other incremental differences like a faster steering ratio and a ...strut tower bar in the back.....but if you're just gonna mod it like that....it's pointless.
It'd be like buying an ITR to do a GSR conversion or something

yeah but STOCK ITRs hold a lot more value. If you have a stock one in showroom condition, you can sell it for some $$$. But you had to spend way more in the first place to get it. Kinda like the CR. I think it'd be a wash. Maybe in like 25-30 years if you still had a showroom condition stock CR, you could show it off or something. Iduno. Not worth it if you're just gonna mod it anyway.
