STEERIN WHEEL SWAP ON MY EK ?

Im installing a type r steering wheel on my 97 ek and I already removed the stock wheel but Im wondeing if I have to cut the wire behind that wiring wheel so that it can come off and I can intall the hub. Anyone know about this??

I did but I cant find the answer. I just want to know if I have to cut the wire to that wiring wheel thing cause its just hanging there. and i dont care if the horn doesnt work. Let me know guys.
