Default Help Needed- Honda Accord Heat Shield

I was hoping maybe someone could shed some light on an issue I've been having with my 5spd 94 accord ex. At about 1.8rpm's, the heat shield surrounding the catalytic converter (i've been told) makes a really annoying rattling, and it has gotten progressively louder over the last few months. If I give the car more gas than usual, the sound is almost non existant. It's more of an annoyance, but I was hoping someone had a similar problem and came up with a solution.

And if anyone wants to make some cash and fix this in the norfolk area, that would be be awesome as well.

Thanks in advance.

look under the car and see if the bolts are tighten...if they are and the heat shield is still off then that mean ur heat shield is corroded and the metal that held the heat shield to the bolts broke off...the only way to fix this is to buy a new heat shield or take to the shop and ask them to weld it back on for about less than 20 bucks...

it may be bent and rattling on the exaust, are you sure the cat is not whats rattling if its going out they sometimes rattle because the insides are breaking up.

that's actually what the last mechanic said, but he seemed kinda shiesty so i wasn't sure. In the event I need a new 'cat', what is the best (and most economical) option?

if it isa the cat, and you dont want to replace it, if you dont live in cali were you can get away with not haveing a cat then just get a test pipe, if you cant do that just research were you can get a cat for cheap.
