i usually get about 280 miles before my light comes on. So for your car being a 3rd gen then i would say that is good. *shrug*

Manual: 22 mpg / 27 mpg Automatic: : 20 mpg / 26 mpg
Range in Miles: (City/Highway)
Automatic: 318 mi. / 413.4 mi. Manual: 349.8 mi. / 429.3 mi.

sounds right. take a bitoff that cause its an older car and it all depends how you drive it

you cant go by that bc ppl fill their tanks up at diff times, w/o the light...after the lights on...after its been on for 50 miles...

next time u fill up remember your gallons and reset the trip.. divide by ur miles and then ull get ur true mpg

Maybe your car is breathing properly i.e. no clogged cat etc. Change plugs/wires and do the whole tune up bit. Ummm, it's an older car but perhaps try seafoming that bitch or using some other kinda carb cleaner etc.

23mpg with stop and go city type driving mixed with short HWY drives
29mpg on a Cruise Controlled 70-75mph with Cams and Chipped ECU!
7-9mpg on the roadcourse.....ever wondered what VTEC all the time would do to mileage?

I average about 330 miles on a full tank, using Shell v-power 93 (nothing but the best). This is going about 75mph avg on the freeway, with some city driving.

Best bet is to keep your maintenance up to par. As a general practice, I have the dealership service the 30K service plan. I've used Mobil1 5W30, and replace every 10K. No leaks, no major problems. Still runnin on original radiator hoses, starter, alternator, etc. The only major problem was replacing the timing belt.

Along with that, keep your tires always rotated/balanced/aired. I also don't drive w/ the windows open as much...just use the AC when on the freeway.

Anyone getting near 200 is really not getting optimal value out of your engine/car. Get it fixed!
