Default JDM Power Folding Mirrors

I have successfully finished installing my mirrors. When I first put them on, they were closed. When I hooked them up, they began to open and close opposite each other when I push the button.

First thing I did was double check the wiring to make sure my colors matched up. Everything checked out.

The next thing I did was just unplug on of the mirrors and and see if I could operate one of the mirrors on their own and then plug the last one in.

Obviously that did not work.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Doesnt sound too succesful. How is the wiring on that set up?

Just positive andnegative wires? Or is there Acc wires?

What are you referring to as ACC wires? There are 7 wires in the set up. They have all been checked and double checked.

Okay. So this what I understand. You have your folding mirros wired up to a toggel switch. And when you flick the button on or off One mirror goes 1 way and the other the opposit. Right so far?

Sounds like the polairty on one of the mirrors ir backwards. Try and switch around your wires a little. Like negative to positive and vice versea. Make sure you find out what wires power the miorror to open and close. They sound like they are backwards. Even thought the colors match up it might be defective.

Hope that helps

Just push one of the mirrors manually to where they are both at the same place. Then try it..

If that doesn't work, I'll see if I can help more.. I have them working on my car, for the most part at least... lol

It is commonly grounded and there is positive wire for each action. I know I can switch the wires, but I want to know if anyone else has had this problem and found out the problem. I do not just want to reat the symptom but solve the underlying problem.

When I do that, the mirror goes back to how it was before. I am wondering if this is a relay issue.

Thanks for the link, but as most on here know, prelude mirrors are not the same as the rest. They use a 7 wire relay unlike the integra link you sent me.

It goes back to where it was before when you push the button? Or by itself?

Fold them both in, turn off the car, remove key, where there's no power, and then turn the car back on, and push the button. Does that make them work correctly?

What kind of power are you supplying to the mirrors? Where are you getting it from? Is it direct from the battery, like the memory wire from the stereo or from the ignition, power when the ignition is on?
