ok so i just did my swap (00 4 door lx) i swapped in a y7 yes a y7 (original motor) i dont care how slow it is the other y7 was blown so i just need my question answered its throwing a cel and i havent put the scan tool on it yet but the idle goes up and down and then the engine starts missing and backfiring... so i noticed that when i unplug the map sensor the idle returns to normal in a few seconds then when im going to drive again i throw the map sensor back on but all this time i have to launch all gears at like 3k because it boggs out before 2500 i have no idea what it could be im just waiting to put the scan tool on it tomorrow

 

BY THE WAY I MIGHT NEED AN IM GASKET... I DIDNT HAVE ONE AT THE TIME OF THE SWAP SO I USED RTV JUST TO GET IT RUNNIN BUT IM GETTING THE GASKET TOMORROW

 

actually check your three many ground from the motor first!...check the one by thermosta the two wire ground make sure your ground is tight!!! i just had that recent problem....check the ground by theromosta i think its loose...if u can wiggle it then tight it up.....

will its easy u can tell...fire up your engine, gas it and look at your rpm...if the rpm runs funny then its that two little ground by the theromosta but only if u can start up your engine...when mine was doing the same problem it was pain in the *** to figure out something that was so sample....so try to keep it sample first.....
