Why is it that my crx chooses when it doesn't want to start? And why is it always right after I put gas in my tank? Also why is there always a real heavy gassy smell? I didnt notice any leaks, and my gas cap is tight. What can that be from?

Are you overfilling? Or just waiting for the automatic shutoff?

Also, check to see if your return lines are pinched off or blocked.

 

Could be a warm starting issue like the main relay. Had that happen to me a couple of times until I fixed it.

 

Cant be overfilling cuz it smells even with half a tank

 

Sounds like you do indeed have a leak... But a slow leak. You can try removing the package tray in back and seeing if the smell gets stronger; if it does then something around there is leaking. Likely candidates would be pretty much anything that bolts onto or into the tank, the fuel hoses, and the filler pipe. Especially the filler pipe...
