All you do is change the throttle cable, not the intake manifold. Either way you only change the cable if your going to use manual pedals. 96-00 have to change the intake manifold for a different reason.

Get whatever cable goes with your motor.

Using a Auto gas pedal you use a auto throttle cable according to the engine: aka b18b-Use b1b8 auto cable.
d16-d16 auto throttle cable

Using a Manual gas pedal you use manual cable for the engine: aka b18b engine-use b18b manual throttle cable.
d16-d16 manual throttle cable.

Difference in the cables is the end that mounts to the pedal, also different engines have different lengths of throttle cables. Integra cable is longer then civic throttle cables.

auto cables end comes to a T shape, manual end is like a circled tip.

Also somtimes freak of nature cables exist, and you may have to switch the throttle cable bracket around that sits on the intake manifold.

What reason is this? I thought the only reason you would change the entire intake manifold was if you were gona change the pedal assembly, like you stated above. Does anybody have information on this?

92-95 you do not have to do anything to the intake manifold. As in my previous post all you do is change the cable according to the pedal being used and the engine being used.

I personally never did a 96-00, but i found this in the FaQ section.

Intake Manifold and Throttle body: You need a y8 manual intake and for throttle body we used an LS throttle body. You could use any manual throttle body, i suggest y8 so you dont have to play with the map. Make sure you get a 2 wire IACV with the intake because if you dont have that you will throw a code and run like ***. We also got a new intake manifold (Y8, use that even if your using a y7 head Part #: 17105-P2F-A02

Reason you change out the intake manifold (only on y8 really, y7 you dont need to) is because of the IAC. Auto IAC on 96-00 are all 3 wire IAC. y5, y7 are 3wire in auto and manual form so they dont matter. Y8 are 2wire manual and 3 wire IAC. If you swap anything other then a y5, y7 you need to convert to 2 wire.
