8mm non tapered punch, the one on my d series was seized, I just left the shift linkage attached when I pulled the motor, my b series came out with some encouragement from BFH

yea that little ****** is a bitch, just use a 12mm bolt, might be a 10mm but i am pretty sure it's a 12mm. it works perfectly every time

remember that bitch pin expands so if your putting something(like a punch that is tapered) it goes on the inside of the pin and expands it, youll never get it out.
use the 12mm, and hold the bolt with some needle nose pliers and whack that ****, works on first punch EVERYTIME

Easiest way to deal with it is to take it off with the transmission when you pull the engine or tranny. No reason you can't do that. Just be careful not to bind and bend it when you're lifting the motor out of the bay.

I use a air hammer with a special punch that goes down in the pin a litle bit, and .. works amazing when you just hit a button and it pops out.

AC compressor bolt. I invented that ****. Just get one from a junkyard, though....cuz you're going to ruin it.

dont use a bolt.. yeah its easier but if honda wanted it to be easy to get out they would have made it easier to get out... using a bolt is going to slop your shifing up (i can tell some others may not) dont use a bolt seriously .. how often are you taking your trans/motor out of your car to use a bolt for "ease" of removal use whats suposed to be there

just have alot of patience and the right size punch. i remember a time I got so frustrated that i accidentally hit my own fingers with the hammer instead of the punch. ouch!

Punch + Hammer = Win

I don't understand why people have problems with this thing. . .

I've NEVER had a problem with this.

ok ive done atleast 50 swaps and the perfect size thing for a bitch pin is a 1/4" craftsmen extension. one good hit and its out... perfect size like no joke it fits like a honda oem tool!!!!

i think its because of the limited space underneath the car. Its hard to give the punch a good hit due to the space underneath
