rear upper arm problem
Hey guys i'm helping my boy fix his car its a 89 accord lx-i. He was driving and hurd a snap and was imobilized. I checked and his upper arm looks like this. I don't know much about accords or suspension for that matter. Im not sure what comes with what if i need a ball joint or a whole upper arm or what.
What parts would i need to fix this? also would i need a bearing puller?
thnx

The whole upper arm and the corrosion back in there does not look too bad but I still would replace all that mounting hardware too.
Its gonna be fun trying to get that broken ball joint out of the other portion of the other arm. I would use a tie rod seperator or ball joint seperator to push up on the broken joint and a 3 lb hammer to smack the side of the arm nearest your camera, lots of tension on the tool and a very accurate and hard hit with the hammer.
Can you get another pic, top to bottom, standing properly outside the wheel well, from a little wider angle for the archives please. And a couple of pics of you doing the job please. So we all know how not to do it, LOL.
