ok so i need to know what was the breaking point for you to buy either your rsx-s or your ep3. i am so torn in which one i actually want to buy. i love the wat the ep3 looks and have wanted one since they came out. but i dont like that they are under powered and the dont have the 6spd transmission. so help me out guys/girls why did you buy your car?

 

I bought my EP3 as a daily and the price was fair as compared to the RSX-S.

 

both are great cars
go with your budget

i bought my type-s brand new in 05 and i love it, wounldnt change it for the world......unless it was a ITR hehe

 

The EP3 should be compared to the RSX (base model), not the Type-S. If you want performance, get the RSX-S!

 

i bought the typeS because i don't like going halfway on things.. If you're going to buy a sports car.. then buy the full thing and not the half balled one (base rsx). That's like buying a v6 mustang and not getting a v8 mustang gt. The v6 mustangs don't even qualify as mustangs. lol. If you really like the ep3 then buy it and if you can afford it in your budget then swap the motor out with the typeS.

 

I drove both cars on the same day. I was going to build/boost either so I didn't care about the extra 40hp. I don't know exactly why, but I hated driving the RSX. It didn't feel like it would ever handle like a track car. The one I drove had a 2" drop too. I didn't like the leather seats either. The ep3 (now mine) has better seats/shifter and it had Dspecs and I like stiff rides, so I bought it. It hit 0.95g+ daily when the Neo Gens were new. Now that I have 28mm front/22mm rear swaybars, endlinks, and strut bars all around and it's aligned, I hope I can break 1.00g in the spring with new tires.

 

just go type-s if you like the way the ep3 looks then go buy a focus. i have a type-s and my bro has a ep3 for his daily driver and i cant stand driving his car its just too slow the only thing is that the seats are more comfortable in the ep3 but thats nothing some recaro's cant fix

 

When I test drove both cars back to back I liked the EP3 more than the RSX. the shifter in the EP3 makes the car really fun to drive.

It was an 04 S.

 

Type s all the way. I drove both as well at the dealership, and the ep3 doesnt even compare. . Stronger VTEC, more hp, 6 spd and its sexier? How is this even a discussion? Tho youre def right about the seats, im not real big on the leather either.

 

my ex had an ep3, so i used to drive it all the time and it was alot of fun thats why i was thinking about getting one. i have only test driven the rsx(base) so its like the same thing. i will have to test drive a type-s and see what it feels like.

ALL EP3 Owners brag about how fun they are to drive as a DD!!! if you Drive a lot, and haul crap sometimes, go with the ep3!

SAME HERE! - i have Neo-Gen's also! &lt;PERFECT TIRE FOR THE EP3!

Modded, lowered, rims = better than most Rsx's on the road
(except that most rsx's have cute college girls behind the wheel! )

I sold my EP3 for a Type S. Bought both cars new. The only thing I liked better about the Ep3 were the front seats. That's it.

 

Bought the EP because of the price and how rare it is.

 

Go with the RSX-S. EP9's are cool n all but RSX looks freaking sexy and funny fast.

I wouldn't call it 'rare'. There weren't as many sold as the RSX, but they are far from rare.

My bad, to clear it up they are not "rare" but its just something you don't see on the street everyday.
