Default EF9 JAMS!!! AND HIS d series itb's....it's going down!!!

so i just picked up the other day some cbr 954rr itb's with an OBX intake manifold in which it is connected to. gonna run 450 dsm injectors with a pm6 w/a VAFC. they are on my d1y8 head...less than 45,000 origional miles on it. i'm so excite!!!! going on my d16a6 aswell.

i wouldn't mind any info on what you think or suggestions just the neg...keep it to yourself....

and oh don't worry....it's just the valve cover. not the actual vtec-e head!!!

i'll keep updates up frequently until i get it going good...

okay seriously are the 450's too big becasue i don't know. it seems logical if you think about it. it's just what i was told i should do. my motor is just stock. so some help on this issue please.
btw i will have it tuned so i wouldn't be using the full potential of the 450's

and for the record the valve cover is not that color after today. i just haven't had time. i'm doing the black wrinkle finish. i really love how it comes out.

B series guys are running 310cc and 370cc injectors with ITB's (from what I've gathered)

you don't need 450cc injectors.. it'll most likely run better with smaller injectors

Trust me, get injectors that are with in reason for your setup, the smaller the better allthough I'd still leave some room for expansion. I don't know what size you're gonna need, but if you don't either I wouldn't just take a shot in the dark.

Sincerely,
-Someone who NEEDS 850cc primaries and 1300cc secondaries...

P.S. If you get a new valve cover I've been looking for a VTEC-E valve cover for my D15Z1.

so ya,def ran into some probems today while i was finishing up this project.

i wanted to know if maybe you guys could help me out with some codes in which i am throwing on my car.
first off let me tell you what i have and what i have done.
i have an dx ef hatch as you know.
it's already mpfi...did that a long time ago.
it's obdo
i just recently finished my mini-me swap today
98 y8 head
staying obdo
but there's a little twist

the codes i am throwing are 5, 7, and 10
(map) sensor
(tps)throttle position sensor
(iat) intake air temerature sensor.

now being that we are all EF guys i thought maybe somone could shine some light on this ish for me. (please)

the way i have this set up is. i have a pvc pipe that i home made DIY into a vacum canister. kinda ghetto but will hopefully do the job for now.

i mounted the (IAT) to this canisted and have run my vaCCum lines to and from it.
lines as listed on my canister

4 throttle body hoses
brake booster
FPR
IAT
MAP
PVC

now my TPS sensor is cracked and more likley to be bad/brocken. i have another one and i'm pretty sure that should fix it.

my question isn't so much the TPS senor as it is my IAT, and MAP sensor.

my MAP is plugged in and has a little hose that runs from the little nipple looking thing under neath it to the vaccum canister. (please bear with me i'm trying to draw you out a visual....or just look at my profile pic for an idea...)
can i just leave this sorta hanging or does this NEED to be directly mounted in some way directly to the itb's/manifold runners so that it may function properly?

also my IAT is something that has me for a loss. my first thought was it's probably a bad sensor being its off an old hf manifold i had laying around. i do have a known good one that i will test out so i'll see about that.
my question tho is, does this sensor also NEED to be directly fitted to this itb's/manifold runners in some way or another so that i can function properly or can i just leave this mounted to my little canister?

PLEASE,
i don't know if you guys can help me out or offer any advice but i would sure appreciate it if you could.
do note that my car does run and turn on, it's just running like crap for now. please help a dog out.

here's a quick phone pic.

#1 you should only work on one thing at a time. mini-me (obd-0) plus ITB's all on the same day. put the stock manifold on and figure out how to get the vtec to actually work before tackling the ITBs. but that's just my opinion.

#2 I think the IAT (intake air temperature) sensor should be in your intake track somewhere, and not a remote vacuum canister.

#3 swap out the broken TPS (throttle position sensor) for a known working one. how do you have it hooked to the throttle bodies?

#4 i'd have to guess that you have vacuum leaks or hooked up the MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor incorrectly.

#5 get a better camera, because i cant see **** in that picture.

camera dude. ya i know my bad. i'll post some better pics up tomorrow when there is light out.

i know how i'm going to run vtec and all....VAFC. no prob but.
a leak. i think that could very well be a possibility since. this "remote canister" is home made.

you put it in better terms.

tps is conected to the throttle bodies on the left end. (will post up a closed pic tomorrow.)
def appreciate the info tho.

IAT and map plugs are totally different.
But MAP and TPS plugs are Identical.

Look at that first.

Good luck.

first of all how the hell do you plan to make power on a DX 1.5 block. Also what ecu are you running? An A6 ecu is crap for a vtec motor even with a vafc. A vafc is just a bling toy and really does a poor job at helping an a6 ecu. Second, home made pvc ****? itb's take careful consideration and planning. do things RIGHT and one thing at a time. As far as your issues with codes. I bet its becasue itb's require alot different mapping to control them. Alot of people in the past have had to use crome or megasquirt to control them. I dont think enough research has been done. MORE PICS if you want help.
