Default dohc zc swap fuel injector problems or other???????????

ok guy ive got a injector question for you. i did a dohc zc swap on my 89 hatchback dx. compression numbers good all the way across car ran like poop idled rough would stall i took it to jdm exchange here in philly. i had a code for my tps sensor they replaced it, but the car still ran bad i checked it for more codes it came back with exhast cam sensor and injector #1 code the car wouldnt start so i towed it to a friends house we replaced the cam sensor and when he pulled the spark plugs. when he pulled the number 1 plug fuel filled up the entire cylinder and plug tube. he unpluged the fuel pump and cranked the engine. when we pluged the pump back in with the key on the cylinder filled back up.is it a leaky injector or fpr?

I'd be willing to bet it's a problem with the CPS or distributor wiring, those seem to be the most common problems with this swap.

As mentioned above, it could very well be a timing issue. Have you checked your ignition and engine timing?
