Okay, I'm goign to say it again right up top in this thread since so few people have noticed...
THERE IS A PAINT AND BODY SECTION.
Please post threads pertaining to paint and body in the Paint and Body section.
This is not directed at just the OP. I'm just tired of seeing repeated posts in this section that belong in Paint and Body.

there are about 4 different types.....gravity feed vs. siphon feed for one. single-action trigger vs. double action trigger. so there you go. the gravity feed double action trigger are the best for painting cars in my opinion. siphon feeds are used more for primer (they are the old guns that they used back in the day). and hell no.....house paint guns are completely different! lol but they seem to operate the same. hope that helps.
there ALOT of different type of gun, but if you are spraying paint today you want to have a gravity fed HVLP or LVLP guns.
siphon or pressure fed are for enemral paint back in the day, in other word don't use it to put on car.
also do notice the air requirement different and overspray adjustment of each gun, as well as the tip for primer, clear, bc, spot repair, etc
