Default Exhaust

I have a 96 Accord LX and am looking at getting an exhaust for it. I am going to get the DC sports ceramic header for sure and was looking at an Invidia catback. But I was wondering, would it be ok to just buy the header, a muffle, highflow cat and then have a muffler shop run like 2.25" piping? Or would I loose power? I was just wondering which setup would be better. Thanks any advice is greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't go any bigger than that. Sounds fine like that.

Bump
I was thinking about a test pipe instead of a high-flow cat but the local muffler shops said that it will trigger my check engine lights and that if they were caught, they would have a $5k fine. Is this true or will the sensors be fine?

skip the test pipe and go with the high flow cat.

People whom ILLEGALLY MODIFY their cars are the REASON the rest of us get our ***** busted with stricter laws.......
