99 clutch in a 90 tranny

Default 99 clutch in a 90 tranny

will a clutch from a 99 civic 5 spd (d-series) fit and work with a 89-91 5 spd tranny (non si). if it does,... then i got a free clutch. can anyone let me know please. and can you back up why it will or wont work? not just tell me if it does or doesnt work. thanks.

What year is the cable tranny?

im pretty sure its 90. but the 89-91 trannies are all the same anyways?

as long as you have a 90 or newer flywheel, the pressure plate and clutch disc from 99 will work - clutches are the same from 90 to 00 - throwout bearings are not the same for cable transmissions and hydraulic transmissions
