Default ecm blinks 12 times help me please!!!!!

so far what ive learned is that in my 1986 honda accord lxi 2.0 liter fuel injection, my ecu is spitting out 12 blinks. i have checked the vacume coming from the #16 whose it was there, i have tapped into the intake and cleared the egr ports, checked how ez my egr valve opens i cant get to the bottom of this egr problem....... i got emmsions coming so im in trouble. Also when the car is at idle the engine races up to 2,000 rpm's, then it drops right back down to 700-1200 rpms for a split second, then back up its getting worse bye the week. im not sure what to do there are no engine codes for a problem of the such.also the car will start and just die.... and sometimes it will turn over like its about to kick and i can feel it start, then it just dies. please someone help me!!!!!

Usaully it is the little vacumn chamber. I have replaced a bunch of them. And don't seem to have any other problems after replacing it. The reason the system
codes is because the PCM is commanding EGR and then it will check to see if the EGR lift sensor on top of the EGR valve gives it as much lift as quickly as it desires. It will
monitor amount of lift and time elapsed. There is most likely one of 3 problems, first is not enough lift fast enough. Check by hooking vac gauge to line 16, next pinch
hose #17 at throttle body plastic elbow. (this is vent line). As soon as hose is pinched you should see 6-8' of vac on gauge within 1 second. A slow rise would indicate a
clogged air chamber in the emission control box. It is a small plastic chamber with three vac nipples on it. Take it out and clean it with compressed air and a small wire. If this is ok, check EGR solenoid valve in emission control box. It has a plastic cap on it. Remove cap and remove hose 16 from EGR valve, connect to vac gauge, next energize EGR solenoid while engine is running, note vac reading. Now cover exposed port at top of EGR selenoid with your finger, if vac reading rises solenoid is no good. (Losing vac out of top, this will equal not enough lift) Solenoid needs to be able to vent when EGR is off, otherwise when solenoid shuts off vac supply EGR would stay open. Vent bleeds off vac allowing EGR valve to close. #3rd possibility is excessive amp draw causing PCM circuit breaker to 'open', measure draw while energizing, Should be approx 700ma. If PCM can't handle it without going open and coding 12, PCM will be bad. Sometimes solenoids with excessive draw will cook PCM driver. I have replaced a bunch of the solenoids. try cycling it at the shop a few times(25 times or so) and see if it fails. I have also replaced the 3 way vacuum chamber because it would have carbon in it and would get stopped up. I have cleaned them
with carb cleaner also. A clogged air chamber. Here is a quick test. Found a hose that comes out of the control box and goes into the air intake tube (big plastic thing around the air cleaner). There is no vaccum there, it is just a venting from the
solenoid valve. Attach a vaccum gauge to the hose side of the EGR valve. With your finger block the vent hose (by the air cleaner) and watch the gauge. You should have about 5' of vaccum. The question is. How fast it raises? If the gauge goes up slowly, the ECU will think there is a problem and will trigger the engine light. The proper operation is the gauge should JUMP. The small plastic air chamber (part # 36134-PH7-004) usually is the culprit, it looks clean and open, but is not. Common problem with an easy fix on the 86-89 Accord with code 12. Replace the chamber and the solenoid. Then, with power(12 volts) still attached to the valve, I put shop air through it and saw white powder come out. Now I could blow through freely. And
now no more code 12.

A collection of diagnostics, sorry if they were repeating, hope this helps.

Now your asking a lot, was the color not given, wasnt there a part number, I dont even want to reread it. Hose numbers that are attached to it were referenced. How many nipples are on it were referenced.
