Default 4-2-1 header clearance on hf (or something like that engine)

I have just instaled (or at least tryed to) a 4-2-1 header in my D14 powered CRX.

This engine is just like the hf or any other short block/small journal D-engine.

The header is a oem header from a delsol (D16Z6 engine) and the problem is that it hits the oil pan in such a way that I canīt bolt the primaries to the secondaries or install the header.

I've had the oilpan from a DOHC zc under the one from my engine, and the lower part of it seems narrower with could (should) be creating the clearance problems.

Has anyone had problems installing headers in small d-engines? (d15 for example).

It had a 4-1 header before (oem).

Can I smak the oil pan with a hammer until it gets like 1.5inch clearance?
Will a d16 (z6,a6, etc) oilpan fit in a hf engine with out any other problem?

That's exactly the only thing that's keeping me from bolting the header!! It would make all the difference.

The header hits on the oilpan lower part side. My question is can I smack 1 inch on the oil pan side with out messing up with anything inside? (like oil pickup?)

Second Gen. It's the same thing as the JDM 1.5x, but with less 100cc and the carburators are regular and not electronic like the 1.5x

Will the oild pan from a y8,z6,a6 fit?

nah its not just that the oil pan is some sacred thing, BUT if you interfere with the pickup then youll get your header bolted up, and get maybe 40-50 miles and youll hear a really loud sound from under the hood.

motors need oil

granted sometimes youll see a smashed oil pan from going off a crub or something, and sometimes they work fine, but why play russian roulette with your motor?

smart money says try an aftermarket header.
