whats differents with cheap header and brand name header?

brand name ones give me moe hp power? like dc header?

i have accord 05 4cyl with2dr

or cheap header make my car mess?

 

A cheap one usually takes a little more to install it correctly (shaving down welds, flange imperfections, upgrading hardware) But once that is all fixed you will usually have a good quality exhaust. I paid $75 for a spoon knockoff header downpipe and test pipe for my civic, had 0 problems till the day I sold it a year and a half later.

Obviously you are very new to this, so I'll go ahead and tell you that a DC header is basically a cheap crappy header. There's a lot more high-end high-performance headers that you won't find on ebay that make a lot more power than a DC and are much better quality.

If you did want to get a cheap header then just go DC or Megan racing also makes a decent cheap header.

No cheap header will give you more than a couple hp anyway.

Cheap headers can usually be thinner metal and corrode quicker, if you see where the O2 sensor is in the exhaust manifold and in a cheap header, sometimes in the cheap header the O2 sensor will only read one or two of the exhaust streams instead of all four closer to the collector, this is not good for your engine or spark plugs or cat if you keep it on the car or gas milage overall.

 

most of the time the cheap headers are poorly constructed and also use cheap materials. In means cases you can see the welds are not the best. Some end up leaking so it better to put a bit more and buy something backed by many tuners. in the end you get what you pay for.

I just need anything that'll fit and don't feel like spending baller cash on anything right now.

Solid motor mounts, upgraded intake/header/exhaust, swaybars, and what not are for next year

and your EX header flows just as good if not better than cheepos.....save your money...

 

I got a 96 ex. am i better off just keepin my stock headr instead of getting a dc or megan header

I bought a dc header and one of the runners now has a dent in it. I'm guessing it was from a rock kicking up on the highway or something. makes me angry

So the header on my LX is not= to the header on the EX? That blows

 

yeah dont go for a cheap header... I had a friend buy one for his low crx... it was like 20-50 bucks off of ebay n it was like a DC style err sumthin n then he put it on and it hung waaaay too low. it was ruined in like a week it was the lowest point on his car then he got a real DC sport header n it fit in there perfectly
