4gen Rearview mirror (picture request)
Anyone if you have a spare moment, can you go out and take a close up pic of your rearview mirror. Preferably the mounting shaft and the mount attached to the window.
Been messing with this for almost an hour, and think whoever sold me the car (car had no mirror) either had a NON-honda rearview mirror, or the mount is upside down.
thanks for anyone who can help.

Right now I don't have a manual, so I'm going off a parts diagram from a parts website and I'm starting to think honda over-engineered the design of this fckned rearview mirror.
If anyone is bored enough to go 1 step further and just unscrew the bolt holding it up (reverse threaded) and shoot a picture of how all the pieces are sitting before it gets screwed in, that would be wonderful.

I have all the pieces pretty much aligned with the diagram from above, and I got it up there nice, but there is some jiggle, like I have 1 tiny part of this installation wrong.
And plz no one talk ****, because unless I have a screwed up mount, this is a bit of a fcked up design.
thanks for the help

Well, it's late.. And I just got out of the shower from after getting back from a hike, so I don't feel like going and removing my rearview mirror at this time of night..
But... I did do something for ya..
Rearview Mirror Replacement
Hope that helps.

heh, just like I had it. Think when im screwing it in, as it tightens, its pressing it slightly off the ball hinges....i hope which is causing it to not tighten on fully.
I'll try holding it extremly hard as I screw in to avoid this if its the cause and see how it goes.
THanks alot MLBZ
great help, a light of hope in the early morning.

Heh, no problem..
I didn't have a rear view mirror when I first got my car either..
Bought the Mirror off eBay, but didn't get the parts to make it stay...
So I had to order those... Got the parts and then was like, duh, what?? This is way to complicated for a mirror...
I think they did over-engineer that mirror though.. lol
Hit me up if you don't have it working by tomorrow, after I'm out of class, I'll see if I can pull it off real quick so I can remember exactly how it goes..
