Default Exhaust tip help!!

I DONT WANT A CATBACK so please dont suggest something BETTER for my car. I just want something that sounds legit and looks nicer than my stock pipe.

What would this exhaust tip do for my car? I know it wont increase much power, if ANY, but I want to know that it wont decrease my power because of the dual tips.

What do you guys suggest? What would an exhaust tip like this do for my car?

Any info you guys have on tips would be appreciated. What should I look for to avoid backpressure? What size tip would be TOO big? I'm thinking that I dont want to go over 2.5" - 3" for a pipe because I might lose power. I'm not sure whether I want the fast, ricer looking tip or a nice looking, dual tip. Are the "increases 8-10hp" advertisements true?

I would suggest not going with the dual upswept, but that’s just me. I personally hate the look of dual upswept exhaust. I know for a fact that the power increase is not true, if so more people would be getting it. If anything they are assuming you have headers and intake, so they combine all 3 to come up with that number. I don’t see anything noticeable, if anything at all coming from those two mufflers. But if you're just out to make your car sound/look like a ricer go for it.

Unless you want 99% of the people living on this earth to point and laugh at you, I wouldn't buy a "universal" muffler off ebay, especially one with "dual tips". If you're looking for legit sound, you are looking at the wrong style. Those mufflers you linked above with not do anything for performance, and will sound horribly ricey. Check out an ES tuning flat black muffler.

usually these mufflers end up sounding like a fart can going down the road, i been down that road and it gets annoying very quickly listening while your driving. buy some thing like apexi, magnaflow, etc if not i would recommend a cat back you'll be alot happier

We drove a 93 Infinity G20 with the twin tip muffler and a header. It was SOOO loud and didn't seem to run well at all, very annoying!! My son bought a muffler for his 94 Sentra SE-R similar to the single tip, but at our local muffler shop, and with the silencer in, its not too bad at all. But take the silencer out, and with the header and 2.5" pipe all the way back, and you can hear him coming a mile away!!!! Since he is now working, he is looking into a Magnaflow or a Flowmaster 60. Yours wouldn't be as loud if you have the stock manifold, pipe, converter, etc.

That means you'd have to weld the new universal muffler in a stock catback...

I would definately not recommend getting the dual tip exhaust for your accord, those mufflers belong on cavaliers and sunfires, for what its worth. As for the 3.5" tip, for 20 bucks, if thats what you want, get it. its not that much money that if you dont like it, it will be a big deal. it will cost you another 15-20 bucks to have a shop weld it on. Youre not gonna get any power from it, but if its sound your looking for, it will do the job. If its good sound youre looking for, save up for a catback and a nice RH. If you want to stay cheap, have a shop make you a catback. That will be way cheaper than ordering one from a major name brand and the power differnce wont be that bad. Dont let anyone else tell you your **** is ricey. its all personal opinion. its your car, do what you want with it. Rice = not having the ***** do mod your car the way you like it.
