Default 99' ITR speaker install

This weekend I'm getting a replacement Alpine headunit and hopefully, speakers. I need to know if the Alpine SRP-176a fit the front and SPR-174a fit the rear, without any cutting or modding. Their supposed 16cm same as the hole, I never done this before so can anyone verify this for me. Thanks ..

cheers mate, thats sorta what happened. when i pulled the old unit the connecter was the same as for the new headpiece, cept i needed a extra permanent + 12v and seperate earth strap. what i did was pulled a connector from the old plug and fitted it to the new harness and earthed the unit onto the framework at the back. took about 1/2 hr.
the speakers are gonna be the problem cause their components and the magnets on the new speakers are not gonna fit into the factory plastic housings. i will be sharpening my knife tonight ..

all done now, had murders with the speakers, word of warning to anyone thinking of Alpine speakers, the SPR-176a series, i got for the front are bigger than Alpine suggest, their 17cm instead of 16cm. i thought would slot straight in but had to make some spacers with a bit of cutting involved to make sit behind the stock speaker covers. a stealth fitting was needed.
Sounds great so happy now. last week was pulling my hair out.

I just traded-in my '97 Civic for a '99 Integra. Any chance the adapter kit I bought for the Civic will work in the Integra?

if you're planning to use your stock constant 12v+ and your stock ground wire...i highly suggest upgrading them to 14 or 12 gauge. i used stock wiring last time and when i turned up the volume a tad bit, smoke started coming out. i found out that the rubber jacket of the ground wire was all melted and the constant ignition wire was shorted. alsom make sure you reground your ground wire to bare metal. your constant ignition should go to the accesory wire just under your ignition key holder. you constant battery goes directly to the battery, but make sure you fuse the wire.

anyone else agree or do you guys think this is unnecessary?
