My brother is going to buy some CTR cams from someone but I want to know if there is a way to tell if they are real or not. Is there any markings to look for or do you just hope for the best.

 

Measure them, not sure what the specs are though...Plus I'm sure other companies make similar ones with the same specs. Good luck though

 

ok is there any way to tell if the springs and retainers are ctr i am going to buy some used and i want to make sure i am getting ctr and not some auto b16a stuff

 

why are you buying CTR springs and retainers? just get a set of portflow ones, you'll prolly pay around the same price. If not, wouldn't you rather spend a couple extra dollars to know the motor you plan on revving high will hold? I would, will, and did.

well im getting the ctr stuff as a package used, cams springs and retainers for cheeper than just the cams brand new...
