I like my F22B1.

I liked it when it was in my 95 EX and had plans on putting it into a 92-95 Civic Si hatchback with a D series tranny.

It all depends on the person. I'm not someone who needs gobs of horsepower so... What one person likes doesn't mean the next will, and it doesn't really matter since it's your car. If you like it, keep it... if not, save for a swap and swap it.

There is nothing wrong with having a F22B1 though.

I like it a whole lot when I go to the gas station to fill up and get 31.5 MPG on the interstate driving.

I did not like it when I had H22A Prelude, going to the gas station and getting 25-27MPG and had to fill up with PREMIUM gas. (I LOVE preludes though )

it should still go over 5,000 rpm just wouldn't have much power in that area, it could be another problem. the v-tec on those engines is weak so its only like another 10 HP anyway but you can fix tha v-tec with a correct ecu and rewire it. or be ghetto fab and use a toggle switch. even the f22b1 motor can be really fast...with turbo. it sounds expensive, but headers, cai, exhaust all add up to about the same price as a small turbo set-up you just would need someone to install it

With my little Turbo setup made 305 whp and 307 tq for over a year before i got greedy and blew it up.... I BEAT IT CONTINUOUSLY for over 30k miles... lol

they are good motors.

taht was on intecs dyno fat boy..there dyno reads high..we all know this right????

anyway to the OP your car NA with limited budget will never be anything fast...have fun racing D15s and the like..anyway there is nothing at all wrong wit hthe motor that is in your car....get you vtec hooked up hard..there is a "how to" in the FAQ....the motor are great, they get good gas milage, love boost, and run forever stock..my girl had 207xxx on hers before she hydro locked it...also there is the potential of turboing it which is always fun...dont rape it til;l you get you vtec wiring hooked up, taking it as high as it will go will only get you breaking, bending, effinfg it up........

Oh and if it nmakes you feel any better....I took out a H22 to put a F22b1 back in
