Default vtec cylonoid bs..

ok i just have about everything for my b16 swap in my ef hatch but one freakin thing and its the top vtec switch (the clear one, not the pressure switch) and i have read some where that other switchs are the same as that one and will plug up...i cant seem to find it any where at any junkyard and its the only thing i need...anyone know what other plugs are compatible with this that i can use??

You don't HAVE to use an OEM plug. There were no OBD0 cars with VTEC (NSX maybe) in the US so finding that plug might be hard. Try a single wire O2 sensor plug for both sides.

You could solder the wires, use a butt-connector, or even a spade connector so that you can disconnect it if you had to remove the wiring later. Also, you can use a plug from a 92+ car, just de-pin the plug and slide it over the existing terminal of your VTEC solenoid (if that makes any sense).

You can use any plug in the world. Hell if you wanted you can use a plug with like 10 wires coming out of it...just de-pin every wire, and put your vtec wire in. Then on the other side of the plug, put your wire in that runs to the ecu. As long as those wires are making contact, it don't matter what plug you use. You can solder, but I wouldn't recommend it as you may have to change the solenoid later in the future. A spade or some kind of quick release connector will also work flawlessly, as long as it's not a cheap walmart one.
