Default Replacing rings and their chain reaction.

So it's looking like I might need to replace the rings in my B16A2. However, the motor has 120,000 hard miles on it, so no matter what, I am going to replace the pistons. Now, if needed, I want someone to correct my understanding of something. As per my knowledge, if you replace pistons you don't want to use the new ones with old pins. But, you don't want to use new pins on an old rod. And if you replace the rod, you would replace the bearings by default...Am I looking at an entirely new reciprocating assembly?

The pistons will (should) come with new pins. There is not problem with using new pins with old connecting rods.
