Prelude SE 2001 or RSX Type S What to buy?
I will be buying a new car in the next few weeks. I am having trouble deciding on what to buy. A 2001 SE with OEM bodykit and fin, or a RSX TypeS. The Type S has the 6 speed and cool seats, but the styling is a little weird. I believe the car is faster and of newer technology. There is something about the exterior that I am just no sure of.
The prelude is 4 years old and no longer made. Oh yeah the lude is new not used. Many of my friends say go for the prelude, but I just don;t know.
What car is going to be a better performer all around? With an intake will the lude be faster?
Someone please help me with my decission.
Thanks
Martin

I dunno, the Type S even with it's "200 hp" and 6 spd still isn't exactly a pavement burner.
Plus the fact he'll probably have less trouble with adding boltons.
I'm a believer that the Prelude is, and will always be, a slight notch of a class higher than the RSX.
Just my opinion, take it or leave it.

The Prelude is the better handler, with a smoother ride and much less wind/tire/road noise at speed. The old-school VTEC engagement is way more fun than the i-VTEC's. Better cabin materials and visibilty, too.
The RSX-S interior is chintzy, it rides like a Civic, and has McStruts.
Good tranny, though.
After driving the RSX-S, I knew the Lude was the better car for me.

Living in BC myself, you should be able to get a really really good deal on an SE lude since they are trying to clear them out like mad. Dont buy into the 'this is the last one' crap.
Otherwise, I would without a doubt get the RSX-S. Its alot more expensive (this may be a surprise to our American friends) but its definatley the best all round sports coupe in that price range and class for the time being. In my opinion the S is faster, shifts better, has better interior, more features. And drivers being equal, I dont think a lude with an intake is going to be nearly has fast as the S.
