okay so im not sure what exactly happened but i have a 90 crx with a mini me swap...
basically i was in a parking lot going like 2 mph and out of nowhere my car died...at first i thought i might have killed it but i didnt
i turned it over like 100 times and she wouldnt start soo i started going through some tests...
i checked the power and ground to the starter and battery...both good
then i tried the little trick with hitting the starter while turning it over and still nothing
then i got a couple guys to help me push start it...tried like 10 times and the same thing every time....it would sound like it was going to start then just bog down...
for the hell of it a put 20 bucks in the tank just incase cause my fuel guage is broken
still nothing, then i decided oh what the hell maybe the ecu has bad connections
well on every single crx ive owned when you turn the ignition on but not start the car the light on the ecu would blink once meaning its good and has power and all that well the light didnt blink this time but did earlier that morning
so i checked every single fuse including the hazard and ecu fuse all were good
next step was relays...
i went and bought a new main relay and then the other two relays behind the dash
installed those and still nothing

soooo...
before i go and spend money i dont have on a new ecu i thought id check here first to see if there could be anything else other then buying a new ecu

sorry about the long write up just wanted to get in all the 411 to try and narrow down the possibilities

Can you hear your fuel pump priming?

The motor will crank over, correct?

Have you checked your timing?

Check for spark?

 

yes pump does prime
motor does crank over as well
timing and spark are both good too

 

Clogged fuel system, maybe?
