Default VTEC engage

I have a B20VTEC and was thinking of getting a VTEC controller. What are some pros and cons of having VTEC engage early?

honestly vtec controllers are obsolete nowadays.. pretty archaic way to change vtec and a lil. fuel but no timing.

if you are using stock cams you might benefit on changing vtec earlier; the 2.0 will peak at a lower rpm and will have the ability to ingest more air at any rpm compared to less displacement
