Default Swap performed, not right though. PLEASE HELP

I have a '90 CRX and just put an engine in it. It is a B18C5 block and crank, with all GSR (B18C) internals and head on it. B16A1 computer, and transmission (needed a cable trans). It is running stock CRX fuel pump, lines etc. I changed the exhaust to a more open muffler with 2 1/4 pipe from cat back with the cat punched out.
Now the thing is : I got this in and running, no codes etc., but I went up against my friends stock 97 Lude and sat almost side by side with him in 1st and 2nd, him pulling a little in each gear away from me, but when we into third he started to leave me behind.
What the HELL. I'm at 170 hp with the engine and he's at 200 HP, but I'm 1000 lbs lighter then him. Something is so wrong here. I know this swap and I know that the car should be running well into the low 14's. So what is wrong here.
I don't understand at all. the V-tec is kicking in and there seems to be no real problem, but I'm slow as hell here? I am going to be doing a compression test later today to see if that's ok, but I still think that I should be doing better then that, considering that the Lude is at best ( and I mean AT BEST) a 15.0 car.

Please help me or give me any suggestions possible. I would really appricate it and would be very greatfull.

Thankx..............

whats the lude got?

the h22 is a much more powerful and stronger platform to build on then a GSR. my buddys 4th gen accord hybrid stomps on gsr civics all day, and on occasion he takes on mustangs. and the accord is only a 300 pound differenced car from the prelude, so dont be shocked. also torque, drivers, and conditions play a role. give it a full tune up, oil change, let it brake in and try again.......and when you do , dont be so disappointed

I think Preludes run like 14.9-15.1 stock, so they're freakin fast... but with the stuff you have you should be able to spank one easily. At the Track, my brother's stock B16A in his CRX kills Ludes all day long. With stock CRX exhaust too!!

Umm...

h22 = a lot more torque

b16 = almost no torque

with .4 liters difference between engines, I don't really think 30 hp is all you should be looking at. Combine the 30 hp (or is 40? - I forget) and the 40 or more ft-lbs of torque and now you have you answer, regardless of relatively small difference in weight. (I mean, if that was a 1970's chrger, @ 4000+ lbs, with a 200 hp engine, then I would understand your frustration.)

That and if you hesitate on only one shift, that can cost you a second or more on the 1/4... at least!

And don't be too competitive. There will always be a faster car out there than yours. Just enjoy the one you have, and enjoy the process of making it faster. If all you do all day long is dream of all the people who have faster cars than you, your going to miss the fun you could be having with your car.

B16 ECU = suckage for your B18C. Wrong spark and wrong fuel makes for a slow car. You could try using a V-AFC and see if that helps out. Or convert over to ODB-1 and use a 94-95 B18C ECU. Converting over would be a pian tho. You may be able to get that PW0/PR3 ECU chipped more to GS-R spec.

H22's are no joke. I know a guy that ran like 14.8 in his bone stock. My LS 88 HF wouldn't take him through 1-2, but I had a JDM S1(b16) tranny, so most of that was wheel spin......3rd gear ripped him a new ******* tho.
