wiring harness questions!!!!!! please help!!!
ok well my hatchback cought on fire a while ago. it happened at the battery so the cabin harness is toast, as well as my engine harness. my question is: my car is a DX with A/C and rear defrost and i was wondering if i could use a SI harness since i have to change the entire harness. will it all plug and play for the most part except for the sun roof which i will leave hanging.
thank you very very much for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes it will fit. but the only thing is that on a dx u have 2 injectors and on a si u have 4 injectors. u would need to get the complete intake manifold for the si modle and the si ecu( the code is pm6 for the ecu). everything else will just plug right in. hope this helps.
well if your putting in a b series in your rex and think wire are bad umm if I was you go with http://www.rywire.com and they make you a new one with what you need...if you want it done right go with them or call them for questions...Ryan helped me out alot on my Swap and helped me with Reff...or send me a tell...

ya if you go with Obd0 but if you go with Obd1 which I think you should runns better and cleaner... but thats all up to you yes it will work fine
I know that the A/C harness is separate from the engine harness on a DX. At least mine was. Unless SI harnesses come with A/C built in (no clue), then you will have to get the separate A/C harness too.
yea but when it cought on fire it burnt the conector in the shock tower where both harness's plug in, so i need both.

I don't know how big said connector is, but if it is just a small number of wires/pins that are damaged in the cabin harness, then get the SI engine harness and then just repair what was damaged elsewhere. IMO, that beats replacing EVERYTHING.

You could get the SI harness and cut off the burnt cabin harness and solder on a new one instead of replacing the whole harness. Though you might want to play it safe and replace the cabin harness too. You very likely might have some sort of short somewhere in it. ECU might be fried too.
