I bought a 90-93 Accord f22a1 tranny under the thought that I would be able to move the mounting studs around and make it work with the prelude tranny mount. But the problem is for the stud holes to line up the prelude mount are alot smaller, so if I got the other two studs out, they wouldn't fit anyway.
I looked up the part numbers for the accord tranny mount studs and they are the same as the prelude ones.
I guess I will need a picture to explain what I am getting at.
My question is there anyone that has made it work and how to do it.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Apex1972 »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">use the other half of your trans that was already in the car. Then it will bolt up just like usual.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Do what?
There is no other half of a tranny. It is mated to a F20a that didn't come with a tranny.
The tranny mates to the motor just fine. Its the tranny mount that is the problem. The accord one is way wrong and will not go into the mount in the engine bay at all, so that is why I am trying to put a prelude mount on there, but it won't work unless I somehow get the studs to move around.

sorry , I was not very clear on that. you will see the bolts that hold the transmissin together. The same bolts you would remove if you wanted to replace a gear within the trans, or if you were installing a LSD. If you take the trans apart, you can use the end off of your other trans(the side that the trans mount is located on) then bolt that end onto your new trans. Then the bolts for the mount will be the same as they were. I hope that makes it a little more clear. My friend is doing this right now, so that is why I know this can be done.

I only have one tranny, so that won't work. If only I had the h22 tranny case I sold a year ago and was messed up at the bolt holes.
No I am not doing a auto to manual swap. I am actually parting my 92 5-spd S out and just trying to get some answers about changing the transmission over to work in a prelude or if it can ever be done easily.
