The motor would only last probably about 10,000 miles due to the smaller bearings that would need to be used.

Do tell. So a 77mm crank would use really, really big bearings? Just trying to learn a bit from the experts of H-T.

really?i never heard of that before.so are you saying 95 stroker kit wont be good for a daily driver or good for a motor period?
I would not recommend a 95mm crank to a novice builder/tuner. Although the rod/stroke ratio is not the engine killer that some would hype it to be, engine longevity with a 95mm stroke will not be as good as say, a stock GSR 87.2mm stroke. Every person has to make their own determination as to how much they are willing to compromise reliability for performance.
never said i was a novice builder,i asked if there is anyone useing a 95mm stroker kit on there daily driver or period and whats there pros and cons they have useing this kit.im pretty sure anyone useing this stroker kit has a 2.0 block.thanks for your help, and no disrepect or anything but this question was for people who are useing the 95 stroker kit period.

i have a friend that is going to use a 92 crank, bcuz he was saying somethin about driving too much on a 95 crank aint good for dd.right now he is useing a itr crank but steping up to a 92 stroker kit.i got a itr crank but wanted to step up to a 95mm kit.and just see what happends.but before i do that i thought ill search here and see if anyone is even useing a 95 stroker kit.so thats why i asked the questions.dont get me wrong i love feed back and i respect what people say.so thanks for all feed back that has to do with the question.
A friend of mine builds motor and he has a semi-daily driver with a 95 crank!! The longevity of the motor is low due to extreme rod/stroke ratio. He doesnt drive it everyday because of the motor and the car is extremly clean! To extend the motor life he had the pistons skirts coated to help with abuse on the pistons. In a full interior 95 hatch w/ac and power steering it ran 12.6 @ 108 and dynoed 245hp and 180 touque.
im about to run a 92 on my setup 2.0 gsr sleeved rods and pistons should be a good DD/weekend beast....95 is pretty big but i don't doubt its possible if the motor is built for it
Yeah I think I'm gonna do the samething and just run a 92 kit on my hatch.my hatch is not gonna be a dd.but I do wanna take it out sometimes to cruise up to la every now and then.thanks again for all the feed back everyone left.
