So, ive heard goods and bads about OEM (specific) color paints that are sold in spray cans (the ones you can get online or from an autobody paint retailer). I would like to do a trunk lid and was wondering whether or not the spray can versions of OEM paint are worth it? How well does it hold up?
Any advice would be appreciated.

 

I got a spray can of OEM paint (as well as clear, $42 total) for my 4runner and it was nothing short of a disaster. The color match was good, but the texture in which the paint came out of the can was terrible, making it impossible to put down a nice thin, even layer of paint. My experience may be exclusive to just me and the can I got ( I have yet to try and clean the nozzle, but it was brand new), but that's my experience, so take it for what it's worth.
