Default converting 88 hf to 91 si cluster

watsup guys,
i need info on how to convert 88 hf cluster to 91 si cluster crx
are they plug n play regarding the wiring?
my hf cluster has build in stock shiftlight in it, is there gonna be a problem?
i found only write up about converting to JDM cluster.
lmk guys

I can't really help you with what will need to be changed, but I can tell you they are not the same. I think they changed the wiring in 90, what I know is that a cluster from an 89 wagon has different connectors than a 91. It can be done, but it is not plug and play.

Its not plug and play, but all the wire colors from 88-91 are the same but the location of the pins differ from year to year. You just have to look at a wiring diagram. Go to the faq section to the gsr cluster install. All you have to do is look at the wire locations on the 90-91 cluster in the thread and repin your cluster plugs.
