This recall only applies to US owners of the 07 Civic Si 2 or 4 door who have previously paid for a reflash.

The reason for this recall is that Hondata inadvertently installed the Canadian 07 Civic Si reflash which does not have the VSA (Vehicle Stability assist) function onto the 2007 US ECUs.

No other functions other than VSA are affected. No other reflashes other than the 07 Civic Si are affected.

If you purchased the reflash through King Motorsports we will be contacting you directly. Once we make contact you will need to do the following:

1) Follow this link, fill out the form, print it, sign it, and include it with your returned unit http://www.hondata.com/reflash....html



2) Customer will send the following items to directly to Hondata:

Hondata, Inc.
386 Beech Ave
Unit B2
Torrance, CA 90501

On receipt Hondata will

1) Reflash the ECU and return ship FEDEX overnight. Turnaround will be same day

2) Hondata will include a free K20Z3 heatshield gasket and refund check for $75.

I thought the recall was for any reflash unit purchased July or before.........

 

naw it was for 07 owners..because of the whole VSA thing.
