I have 95 accord stalls when AC is turned on. Sucks because I live in AZ and I went through half of this summer trying not to use my ac because it stalls the car out... I decided I need to fix it now... Does anyone have any idea what would cause car to stall when AC is put on? Also the AC doesn't blow that cold either(not sure if this was a factor, thought more of it was low on what ever it needs like freon)... Any help is greatly appreciated.

edit: I could use the AC when I was on the freeway and then it wouldn't stall until I hit stop and go traffic..

 

On Hondas, the only thing that tells the engine to idle up with the AC on is when the computer tells the IAC to open up more, I would first think your IAC is bad but have it scanned, not for codes but check the scan data, you should see it being commanded open and you may also get the actual position but maybe the scanner wont give actual position.

A good throttle body cleaning is a good start also, check the FAQ section at the top of the posting area.

 

I have 94 accord, i would like to check the data of measures from all kinds of sensors in this vehicle to keep tracking the way it runs. can you recommend me a scanner and the port for it to connect on my vehicle to do this tracking thing. for your info i have a elm327 wifi device with which i am scanning the obd2 vehicles now, can i use it on my 94 accord as is or by doing some mods?

95 doesn't have a OBD-2 port....

 

you mean that there is no chance of reading the codes other than the blinking light? if so is there an option to convert to obd2?

 

You can check the codes, but not with a scan tool. You will have to use the paper clip method.

 

Mine bogs down a ton as well and nearly diea. I'm thinking of just increasing the idle by a bit

 

I unbolted my IACV, didnt undue hoses. Sprayed some carb cleaner in it(Loosened it up). It idles perfect now.
