Default Running the Accord again...

I recently brought the Accord out of retirement and after a few passes I was back in the "groove". The nights temps were in the high eighties and the corrected elevation was about 5700' above sea level. Our actual elevation is 3100'. Conditons weren't all that great but the car ran really well. I broke the clutch on the next pass, so I was done for the night.

Here is a vid for your enjoyment.

Me vs. '65 Chevelle

Thankyou! Hopefully next weekend I will have even faster times to post. I am changing the final drive to a 5.1 as well as to a better clutch set-up.

We will see...

2point6, how did you get that name, my other business name is 2POINTautO, it comes from the popular 2.0 things around computers now but that is moving to 3.0 and I saw a 4.0 something the other day. I have almost 90 business names now, just waiting to get them all opened up, ya right.

I wounder what that ratio would do for my Dx trans. My third gear go's to 95mph. So with having a H22 trans and a ratio of 5.1 would the car top out at like what 120mph? Ive read on hondatech be for that a H22 trans on a F22 motor will top out around that.

I used to be a SPEC dealer. I broke every clutch they offered. Dave gave up his customer/dealer support IMO, so now I use the Exedy products. Thanks for the offer though...

I run a Circuitworx 4.7 final currently, but it will be replaced this week with the M Factory 5.1 final.

BTW, Euro R and ATR run different gearing. the finals are still 4.266.

Sorry bud... They are all 4.266 with the exception of the 4.0x that belong to the Accord gearbox.

Believe me, I own/owned them, tore them down, and counted teeth long before there was a listed gear chart. If you would like the now listed chart, let me know.

Well, I havent run the Accord in over a year. This has the new engine in it, so already it is faster out of the box. On that pass, I pulled a 1.75 60ft. The weight of the car is 2500 lbs. This was my first hard pass with the new set-up and I broke the clutch. I will make some more changes as before I was running on M & H 24" slicks, which they no longer make. The slight change to the M & H 24.5" slick hurt my gearing a bit. So the 5.1 final should help.

hrm, very interesting... is that weight without you in the car btw?

congrats on the good pass though despite having problems... should be even more impressive when you get the clutch/ fd in and work out the cobb-webs.
