Default D15B VTEC (obd1) into 1996 civic ex (obd2)

i was wondering if it is possible to swap a D15B VTEC obd1 into my civic (D16y8) which is obd2 and if so, what parts would i need to change out? (distributor? alternator? oil pump? intake manifold?) Would a D16y8 ecu work with it if i swapped out the parts that i need to? thanks guys

Default Re: D15B VTEC (96CypressCivicR)

well, i have a 96 civic ex coupe. with a jdm d15b block and y8 head that comes from the 96-00 civic ex. i used everything form the 96 civic ex coupe, plugs, wires, distributor, im not sure what kind of timing it it has.. but im using the p2p ecu.. it kinda lags up the rpm range. until 5500 rpm when vtec kicks.. im assuming the lag is due to the wrong ecu.. i think i need a p08 fuel maps.. cuz the timing is at 14-16 degrees at 670 rpm idle.. so timing is right... and it is obd2.
