So, I haven't been riding long. I picked up my first and only bike, thus far, in late august of 06. I didn't even have my license. I learned to "ride" around my apartment complex and by reading "the idiot's guide to motorcycles". I then got my learners permit, and took the beginners MSF course. Long story short...

I love my bike.

I've since gotten subscriptions to "Cycle World", "Sport Rider", and "Motorcyclist". I keep seeing all these new, hot, light, powerful, new bikes.
Then I get the itch.
That new CBR600RR looks awesome...

I'm also in love with an SP-2 RC-51...

Then I say to myself, where's the centerstand? No single-sided-swingarm? What comfort? They don't have gear-driven V4 engines, either...

I have yet to see another 5th gen VFR while out riding. Those cookie cutter supersports and superbikes are everywhere.

My girl isn't the prettiest, fastest, or lightest thing on the block, or even the best handling, but she's more than I'll ever be able to master. And I love her. She's gorgeous, IMHO. She's been dropped and has over 30K miles. There isn't room in my life for another toy. Hell, I'm lucky to have what I have.

In short, I'll, hopefully, be keeping my baby for a long time. Or until Honda comes out with a worthy replacement for the 5th gen VFR.

 

You can't go wrong with keeping the VFR,

Such great all around bikes.

vfrs are great bikes, i had a 97 for a few monthes and ive riden every generation vfr. its def a bike id like to keep in the garage but theres so many other bikes out there. test out an 07 600rr, i did and quickly forgot about my f4i and my vfr, haa.

hondas problem is they need to make a new vfr, lighter, better suspension and poss. a 1000cc and i would purchase one asap. honda has put so much time into the 600 and 1krr that the vfr needs some serious updating.
