crx temp gauge problem
ok so i have a 89 crx dx with the whole hf dash and engine harness conveted to obd1 p30 b16 turbo and every since i did the dash and engine harness awap my temp gauge doesnt work properly and it didnt with my last swap i had before and before it was a z6 swap but everything worked when it was stock but now the temp gauge goes up just to about the first line on the gauge and if u unplug the sensor and ground it out then the temp gauge should go all the way to the top but it doesnt it still just stays on the first little line the gauge barely moves i was wondering if i could run new wires to the temp gauge in the cluster then to the ecu then to the sensors would that work as well because im sure i have a short somewhere any help would be appreciated
Try running new wires as a temporary measure. Particularly the signal wire. If it doesn't do anything when you ground the wire, then it's likely your gauge is hosed. Re-check the power and ground connections, though, before you replace the gauge...

I agree with what Dave said about running new wires, then using the outcome as a determination of whether or not the cluster itself is the problem.
FYI: Please type like a normal individual from now on or people will NOT respond to your questions because it make you look like a 4-year-old. I had to read this gigantic run-on sentence three times to understand what you were saying.
