Well I didnt go to cmi... inner tie rods are busted... So i stayed home to work on this..
I claybar'd my car last week and the trunk either needed alot of elbowgrease or a new clear altogether.... heres the pictures after lightly claybar'ing it for around 10 mins... NOT ENOUGH
notice the clouds of oxidization...

Now this was after 3 hours of claybar'ing and waxing...
Turtlewax Claybar Ice (Liquid)
Mequires Spraywax
clearcoat revived

and a couple sun shots

Yeah, i just cleaned the trunk with a damp cloth and dryed it... I used that mitten it came with.. Use that because your going to actually define the swirls into nothing, where a terry cloth is what causes the swirls in the in the clearcoat.
also the key is rubbing, and consistancy... alot of it. you wont go through the clear if you do this by hand.. Make sure to apply pressure and go up and down and side to side...no swirling when you rub..
