JDM 4-1 install HELP!
Alright, we have the stock header out but the cat doesn't want to move.. AT ALL. The bolts(or should i say, nuts) that connect the cat to the b-pipe do not want to come off, at all. We have sprayed WD-40 on it and etc..
Any suggestions?? thanks!

Spray some more, maybe PB Blaster (I think that's the name) , more of a rust loostener. Maybe tap lightly w/ a hammer to try and loosten the rust.
Air tools to provide a quick burst to losten the rust? Keep working at it, let the rust lostener soak in some more?

I had the same problem....sprayed some WD-40 and let it sit for a while...and kept on trying until we got it to budge. Are you using hand tools or power tools...we couldnt get it off w/ hand tools
Try a longer pipe extension on your socket wrench.
Like Dave said though if you have the cat off the header just unbolt the b-pipe from the muffler and mess with everything off of the car. Much easier that way.

i exeperience the same thing trying to install a test pipe, first time was no luck, but i let it soaked in w/ wd-40. Later had to go some where, but when i got back, i waited a few mins and it came off rather easy..
I used a 12 mm socket w/ an extension and hit it with a rubbber hammer....
my conclusion let the wd-do soaked in and drive around a lil.

Drop the B pipe and work on it off the car
Thanks for the help on the bolts sizes to connect the cat David, I asked you earlier about them but am not sure if you remember.
Review- The header and carsound are great! The sound is pretty much stock, except for a little bit of a deeper growl now. Down low, the gains aren't so noticeable, but above 4k RPM, the power is nice and smooth all the way til redline. With the header installed, it definitely packs a bigger kick when you hit VTEC. The gains aren't, WHOA this thing absolutely is a kick in the pants, but they are noticeable. Can't wait til I get my Type One cat-back and install that sucker. WHENEVER IT COMES..
Other option if you don't want to drop the B pipe: Spray w/ WD-40, put car up a few inches on jack stands. Using a regular wrench (not socket), place a car jack under the wrench when it is locked into position and jack the bolt up. Keep an eye on the wrench to see that it won't slip or snap. Sounds ghetto, but worked for me in about 10-15 minutes. Hey, you make due w/ what you have.
