race headers or short headers for rsx-s...
I just got an HKS hi power exhaust but it sounds like the car is running only on a muffler. My car is running with a fujita short ram intake. My question is should I get short or race headers. I kind of dont want to go without the cat but Im looking for performance and sound. What should I do??
I have the buddy club race header. To me it feels like i lost some top end but the mid range is much stronger. It also feels like its running a little rich, (when i shift the exhaust pops/ gargles) i think thats because the O2 senors had to be moved back further and dont have a cat to read from. But thats just speculation. All in all i like the header A LOT!

get the ITR header, it has a cat and it frees it up a good bit. I just installed mine a few weeks ago. I love it! gains were good, plus its still legal b/c of the cat. No CEL.
I'm not sure why there is a lot of bashing towards the DC Race Header. If your trying to stay within a budget, DC Sports is the way to go. I personally would get the Buddy Club if I wanted the most power out of a RH. Please do not get a Shorty. If you are after power, than stay away from Shorties. They will do minimal to no gains compared to a stock header for the DC5. Also, keeping that SRI will deter you from feeling efficient power throughout your powerband. I would highly suggest a CAI if you can. GL with your decisions.
go with a race header if u whant power trust me the k's respond to more airflow im running a a dc shorty for now(i got 4 da free) just bought my dc5 and didint feel much of a diff, im going with the bcrh later. RACEheader ftw.
Race Header!
The ITR header is nice however you will make much more power with a Race header.
I used the DC SS race header on my K20 motor before. The DC header is a solid header for the price. If you can afford better then go for it!
