HELP! with AC pump compressor...a
Alright, an hour ago I was driving and all of sudden I started smelling something burning, but soon I realize it was coming from the AC. So, soon as I got home I seen a lot of smoke coming off from the hood I mean a lot!!! The plastic was all burned from the AC pump ccompressor. The AC pump is now lock I the band won't move at all is there any way I could fix this??? I really don't want to buy the whole unit 'cause it will be more than $300 so can someone please help???
Take the belt off the AC Pump till you get a new one, that way you can still drive your car.
Then call the people at http://www.evanshondaspecialist.com and get one from them. I'm pretty sure it won't cost you $300. I live about 45mins from there and have been there numerous times, they are a reputable shop.

Should be a bolt or two (i've never really looked at it) that you can loosen up that will allow the AC pump to move to loosen the tension on the belt and allow it to come off. Might as well go ahead and take off the pump. The same bolts hold it on that allow it to move.
I have one for sale, but is off of a 91 Ex Accord. I dont know if it would work for you. But find out and its yours if ya want it.. And should be cheaper than $300 shipped to you..
