Default Well it's time to say goodbye i guess

yep. i just got back from the acura lot and they have offered me $16,250 for the car and another $150 for the eibachs to stay on it. so now i just gotta remove the exhaust and intake and shift **** and it'll be gone this week. so i will get my payoff for the car and just eat the loss from my own stupidity (i.e driving it like a dumbass). i'll be calling the honda dealer this week and get a refund check for my warranties that i never used and using that money towards the new project. it has been a great car when it was on the street and in the future i might go back to a 4 door si, but until i can control myself a little bit better i am gonna stick to something with a D or B series. much cheaper and easier to work on. it has been fun but all things must come to an end.

oh yea, is there a way to remove the short shifter and put it back to stock? getting that ball on the short shifter was a bitch in itself and i have no idea how i would go about removing it. any ideas?

Wait so what are you gonna do?

Why get rid of the car and take a big loss, esp after the whole clutch and then engine misshift dilemma?

Problem existed between the steering wheel and driver's seat.

At least he KNOWS he can't control himself.

I don't know if I'd take that big loss though.

Didn't you say in your other thread that you were gonna get a Type S and "boost the **** outta it"??

Was offered $16k for mine by Carmax. Dealer offered $17,100.

Sell anything that you can turn back into stock. I also only put the intake box back on with out the resonator and they never popped the hood.

On the short shifter, I switched mine with a member so it was easy to switch out. To put the blue ball back on, it is tricky. You have to figure out how to use force to put the blue ball back on. Use a towel on the bottom to make sure the ball doesn't pop into the console at any point.

Actually he said CRX.. but a boosted CRX is a horrible idea if you can't control yourself lol

My mistake. I thought "rex" was a type-o for "rsx".

Boosting a CRX is asking for trouble if you have a heavy foot. Good luck and be careful out there! All that speed can go to your head pretty quick.

^^ 19 years old and he's dumping an 07 SI for an 08 S2000. Wish my parents were like that...

But 24boosted is right, if you're having all these kinda problems with a FWD car, a RWD only multiplies them in terms of safety.

i'm not going to a RWD vehicle. i'm stickin with either a crx or a hatch with a swap or built d series and boost. i miss the hell outta my teg which ran a 13.6 on all stock internals with crappy tires and 10lbs of boost. i miss that sweet sweet music of a BOV.

and yes, i know i have a heavy foot. the reason i am willing to take the loss is because i'm petrified i will do something retarded again and have to drop even MORE money into it. yes i had to replace the block/head and i JUST fixed the clutch (which grips like nobodys business and barks 2nd and 3rd like a champ).

i decided that since i was only gonna have the car for a few more days and before i remove everything i would take it around the block and just catch a few vids of it hittin vtec. came across another FG2 with intake/exhaust/reflash and i spanked him. u can even hear the tires barking each shift. it was fun times. i'm gonna end up missing this car just because of hte speed and features and how nice everything is, but at the same time i dont really need that right now. i thought i had a kid on the way and it turns out that may have not been entirely true. time will tell. and by that point i will be graduating college and i'll get my present (new car). so i dont really need something nice right now. i would rather just save that car note money and use it towards something cheaper to maintain. some of u guys should understand that if u arent making too much money sometimes its a good thing to get rid of a bill that runs u about $600 a month. so i'll stick with an older model and hope everything works out

Thats funny, I wish my parents were like that too. Ever heard of someone working hard and being able to afford stuff without their parents helping them? I used my Si to build credit, had my fun with it now its time to step up. Oh and ask Justin, I stay at ballin hotels when im in town too
