h22 motor question

Default h22 motor question

if i get a h22a swap should i get the prelude trans. along with the motor or will the accord trans. due? will it make a difference proformace wise?thanks

The Accord tranny has much taller gears... the Prelude tranny has closer ratio gears for quicker acceleration.

so u think a h22a motor with trans. with about 35k would run me like $3500 give or take a little

you can find one for 2500 if you shop around. I found one with an LSD tranny and ECU for $2400 about 18 months ago... and they've gone down in price since then in my opinion...

where is a decent and respectable place to find just the tranny with lsd.. if i have auto.. do i still get the lsd? or does that not affect me?

yes....you still get the lsd...limited slip has nothing to do with an automatic or manual...it simply makes the left wheel turn in conjunction with the right!

call up ep racing in NC and ask for glen...919-759-0210....i just brought a jdm h22 from him for a pretty good price....he sold me a whole clip for like 2500...that included everything i need to do a stick conversion too..so its not too bad...and to make shipping cheaper he even pulled all the parts i needed off the frame and sent it to me....only came out to about 160 for shipping to louisiana, where im having my motor built up by some of my boys...which isn't bad since most places i called up wanted 2300 for just motor, ecu, and tranny plus about 300-450 for shipping.
