There would be no point to run a K24a2 with a turbo. What benefits the K24a2 is it's higher compression. To run boost, you'd want lower compression.

Check k20a.org for some more helpful tips.

You could swap the k20a3, and then turbo it. I am in the process of saving up for k20 also, preferably the a2, but the price increases almost exponentialy from the a3 to the a2. I wonder what is a decent/avg price that someone should pay for either motor..

Uh, no point other than making good amounts of power. Moderate amounts of boost on stock K24A2 internals will yield very good results, especially having a nice torque curve and 2400cc to spool up the snail.

To run MORE boost SAFELY, you want lower compression. But there's nothing a good tune and good management can't fix.

It'd still have a much shorter lifespan than a lower compression engine, and wouldn't yield as high of a gain.

Defenetlly worth the money if you ask me. I would do it again and again if I had to start over. It would be even cheaper if I knew then what I know now. I would have never wasted my money on some other stuff.

This isn't really accurate. High compression motors on boost make great power with less boost. Proper tuning and water/meth and you would have great numbers on the type R.

the k20a2 is 11.1 compression and there are alot of guys boosting making sick numbers.

10:5:1 compression isn't really that high for the k24a2.

If it were me I would go with the k24 block with a k20a2 head.

just my 2 cents...
