hey i was wondering if anyone could help me out!

i have a 1998 honda civic EX

and when i try and turn on my A/C ... the numbers 1 and 2 dont work so i have to put it on 3 just to get some air blowing... but if its not that hot out its annoying to have it blow so hard when i only need a little bit

so out of the (4) a/c levels #1 and #2 dont work

any suggestions help

 

I'm not mechanically inclined, so I may be naming this wrong. Happened to me before. Mechanic replaced the fan modulator (?) and it fixed it. This was pretty cheap to fix, less than $50

 

most likely blower motor resistor, don't have a wiring diagram infront of me though.

 

It's the switch itself or the blower motor modulator that controls the different speeds. Check both with a Ohm meter
