I will be stationed here for about another 6 months(Army). The only parts I have found are for Daewoo, Hyundai, Samsung (Yes, they make cars and trucks), and Kia. The only Hondas you see over here are the cars soldiers bring with them from the states.
I just got home from there 3 weeks ago. I spent a year over there curtosey of the Air Force. If you thought rice boys were bad in the states, Korea takes the cake. I **** you not. The Hyundai Tiburon is like a Ferrari in that country. I traveled all over that country and saw nothing in the way of JDM. Belive me I seached. As a matter of fact I only saw 1 car that even looked halfway good ( stock new model Tiburon). They are all into oversized exhaust tips, neon washer fluid nozzles, neon anything, HUGE wings. Typical ricer stuff.
Signal Auto has a presence in South Korea. They have a tuner shop as well as technicians there. There is an import racing scene in Korea. Check out their website for more info.

there are a couple of shops in korea that can get JDM stuff pretty easily...
if you can't get to japan, you might be better off getting some of the parts
through them...
last time i was in korea, i saw a lot of mugen stuff....
not sure who the hell was using them, but that's what i saw...
rims are cheap as hell in korea...
on a side note,
the korean soccer team is what you call playing with heart!....
especially playing in the home country, wouldn't you say you have a lot
to loose if you lost?
Korean and proud of it!
i forgot to add, i saw the mugen stuff when i was hitting up the game rooms with my uncle... this was in pusan...
there was a local track there, saw some hyundai scoupes gutted out and modified.
didn't see a lot of JDM cars there, although i saw a corvette busting on the track....
American cars are big in Korea..

I do have a question though. What is the Honda/Daewoo connection? I saw 3 or 4 Honda/Acura Legend's running around with Daewoo emblems (even on the wheels), and the name "Arcadia" on them. Can anyone shine some light on that?
thats funny cause when I was stationed in korea. I shared a room with a korean soldier and he said that they didn't like japanesse people too much. When I was there for a year I think the only hondas I saw where the ones the soldiers brought with them from the states and also the ones I saw in SCC and SS magazines. But this was back in 98' I'm sure things have changed.
you guys not might know this but korea is rite next to Japan.
there are SOME people that are into imports and it might be kinda expensive to get parts from Japan but im sure there are people that does it.
they have a few race tracks that are open to the public sometimes and they drag race and stuff.
there's couple of Rx-7's ,supras, eclips but not that many hondas over there but im sure u can find some action over there.
there is a lot of twisty mountain roads and it might be fun driving at night.
my cousin is from korea and he use to race on the mountain roads with his crew.
very dangerous but fun. hehe.

the car that looks like the legend is actually called Leganza in korea. it has the exact same engine as the legend but it just has the Daewoo emblem on it.
i heard that if something goes wrong with the car you have to take it to a honda technician. thats what i heard at least.
that car is supposed to be the most expensive korean made car in korea rite now.
